According to the Italian legislation under DLGS 372/99, which regulates the release of the AIA and therefore follows its general principles, pollution is prevented by applying BAT (Best Available Technologies), with relative guidelines that are intended to promote qualitative and quantitative environmental improvement.
A new, more accurate monitoring plan has been implemented, with more stringent standards with regard to the input and discharge of pollutants, with the help of laboratory equipment including: Atomic Absorption and UV Spectrophotometry.
Moreover, an automatic sampler has been positioned near the discharge of treated water from the purification system for continuous monitoring. In that sense, the ISO14000 certification represents the international recognition of the validity of the efforts made and the concreteness of our attention to the environment.
